I like plastic models but it's nothing like getting reacquainted with nature. I know this is off-topic but I just thought I'd share my experience with you. This is actually the first time me & my wife went out to explore the wilderness here in the US of A. Here are some pix of our camping/hiking trip in the Adirondack's in upstate NY.
setting up camp by the lake on a cold rainy afternoon....

nice day for a 5 mile hike to a deserted farm...

another good day for a 10 mile hike...

hmmm..campers on bathing suits..

ooops... nothing just the birds dear

Hey Alex! Good to "see" you! That really is something nice to do. The scenery looks great! Back here the "outdoor" thing to do is hitting the beach or diving, as you very well know about the hot and humid weather here. It must be nice to take those long hikes with the weather being pleasant. Send us some more pics!

Hi guys. Back there me & my cousins used to hit the trails too. It's good back there 'coz you could almost do it all year round. Here it's only good this time of year so a lot of people, including us, are taking advantage of it. The scenery here is something that I only get to see in the movies until we took this trip. Hope to see your outdoor activity pix in the future.

I haven't been to those places before but I've heard of one Historical Arms Museum in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area.
Have a nice trip Mondo!

Klinger : Nice pix. I wish I could catch an air show here too.

Sayang di ka pupuntang New York. There's the museum at West Point to visit. By now it should be update already. Last time I was there (1992), their exhibit featured Desert Storm.

Oh wow!

Alex,

Are the fish biting? Man, I would love to go fishing in that place. Thats my other, other hobby. But Im not very good at it. But man, Id love to go fishing there!

I wish the Philippines would be as protective of its forests and waters. Its so nice to see green timberlands and pristine rivers. Its so relaxing.

A 10 mile hike? I'll faint from a 1 mile hike! You gotta join us for a patrol, my friend. Great, great pics!

Klinger,

Man, you take the greatest shots! You really should compile a book or something. I wish my hands were as steady.

Oh, and thats one mean looking Bolkow!

Bull summed it all up in one word: Kakainggit!

Of course, as many of you already know, this is my other hobby. Liebgott pioneered this as far as the club is concerned, and now many of us are into this as well.

As with real troops some "modifications" to the field gear have been introduced, brought about by necessities. The bandana is for nape protection from the sun, the flashlight to see better in the dark, and the canteens to check dehydration. Hehehe!
