Guys and Gals,

the first prototype is ready to be tested. Some things to consider before installing:

- It's a program that comes with an installer for easy installation. Easy does it !
- The program is about 1.5 Mb. I know that's considered large by some, but all the ingrediënts are now already there to expand the proggy in future... Adding new modules only increases the program a bit (except for databases ofcourse)
- It's written for performance under a screen resolution of 1024 * 768. Smaller resolutions also work, but some screens are just too big to fit on the screen. In an update I'll have the program adjusted so it will work in any screen resolution.
-It should work under MS Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2K and XP

Install it on your computer by using the Setup.exe file.

The feature that is the most important to test is the "Calculate Module". After installing, run the program and select "Open" in the menubar. Next select "Calculate"

Have fun.

Those who want to test it, please download the file :

Danny--I downloaded the program and everything went smoothly. Looks really nice. Everything I have tried seems to work. I thought there was going to be an "other" scale you could choose though...........
Good work.

There is. The current program is just a part of the complete thing I'm working on. Notice the extra room below the 1/35 and 1/720 scales. There actually are the "other scale items". They are just not visible at this time.

Be patient my friends. Like I promissed.....it'll be a nice tool in time, but let's take one step at a time .

I installed the soft and it works great !
I think that your choice of 0.01 precision for the presentation the result is great, and I love the way the result appears !
That means that so far it's... a full thumbs up !!!!
And also I'm glad you placed your personal logo on the second page. It would have been too sad not to see it.
In the help part, I don't think the "system" part is needed. It's not realy related to your software. Still, while testing it can be helpful... And, are you planning to add an uninstall possibility ?

cheers !
And thanks for the great work !

You are right as for the system part. That is for testing and development only. I'll remove it from the final version.

I'll ad an uninstall if there are users that are still running Windows version prior to 2K. The uninstall is already supported under 2K and XP.

Glad you like it so far.

I know many people who like me keep their good old W98... It tends to be more stable and not as gready in memory than some of the recent stuff.

Danny,
I ran 25 conversions through and all went smoothly. Looks very nice.
However you may want to do a short list of instructions. Just a thought

Great job Eagle! If you're not doing it yet, I'll try writing this in Java code so the Mac and Linux users can benefit from this tool.

I'm with Timberwolf, I read in an earlier post that sand bags used by the us army are 14" by 24", so I just plugged it into the tool and I now know to make snadbags for 1:35 scale approximatly 3/8 by 11/16.....lol, its so precise

Hey hey hey....seams to me that the Eagle Modeling Tools still lives.....

It's a good thing actually, since I'm still building that program. It's progress is going slow, but it will get there.

Current feature is the measuring tool, but I'm also working on a colour database and a digital modeling book with pics, tips 'n tricks , articles etc..... all will be included in the tool eventually....and for free like I promissed.

For those who are interested, I'll put the current version back on the website again...

So you're welcome to download it again....
