Here are some photos of the M-54 five ton Gun Truck Ace of Spades being replicated by a good friend of mine, Sammy Seay. The truck is an exact replica of the actual truck that Sammy served on in Vietnam.
You can see more photos of the build and completed truck in my gallery here
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/photos/showgallery.php?cat=13123&ppuser=1742

Sammy and a couple of other original members built this truck in about 9 months. The cargo bed had to be backdated to the early m-54 configuation. The transmission was replaced with a tranny out of a M-62 recovery vehicle and the gear ratio was enough to give the truck a toip speed of over 70MPH. I got to ride in this truck and It brought back a lot of memories for me. If you guys like this I have a photos of two more trucks that have been built in the past year by members of the 8th Transportation Group.

I have a lot of photos you can load if you want Cliff. In my gallery I have many if you want to transfer them. I am still waiting for Jim to send me the instructions so that I can help in the transfers.
