Just today, I checked again my model kit inventory and behold!!!

My stash
(too many pictures, just click on the link and view them one by one)

I understand this is normal for grown-up modelers but what about me? I'm just 18 and I have a load-full of models :-)

Is this a case of belongingness? :-) Where you find someone or something that will make you happy? :-)

Perhaps you are going after the wrong kind of models.
(I.E. Maybe you should try the flesh and blood kind!)

It wouldn't be too much of a stretch. You build aircraft. Super models travel down runways too!

:-)

On second thought--a girlfriend will eventually lead to marriage, which usually results in children, who then cause harm to finished kits.

Stick to plastic!!

Ciao Shonen,
Don't worry about it for two things:
Trumpeter is coming out with a 1/16th Girlfriend later on this year AND an empty wallet will cure your sickness (works for me, anyway.) Have lots of fun with those kits, buddy.
Ciao for now
Rob
P.S. Can I be put in your will?

I don't want to be infected by an illness like yours SR, so I stopped stacking up on those plastic kits. Maybe you got enough kits to last you a lifetime, that is if you have the time to build all of them.

Tell me about it. Every 15 days, a model comes hear. Damn! At an average, it takes me 30 days to complete a model. The ratio is 2:1 :-)

Dear General,

Think of two nice things that have happened.

1. For once everyone agrees on a controversial topic, i.e. you're a sick puppy, like many of us.

2. With your stash, you are guaranteed to live to be 200 years old, so you can finish them all.

Good to see another sicky, with a well rounded stash.... LOL
I actually "try" to keep them in order, (read as OCD) armour with armour, aircraft with aircraft, figures with figures. I say try, because, as hard as I try (read as AADD) I never finish sorting them. MY 'TO DO" pile keeps growing, (read as slothful, or just too lazy to put away). But I really do have to get a handle on this (read as insane impossible thought) and stop buying every damn kit that interests me, just because A, it was a good deal, B. because it was there, C. the refrigerator, and cupboards are bare, and you can't eat styrene.

It is a bug that is hard to get under control. I remember back a year ago or so when someone here made a post showing all their stash followed by several others. I said never will I let mine grow over about 3 kits. Well last count I had 20 with 3 coming in the mail. It is a sickness, but can be cured by rapid gluing and painting.

Ahhhh.....That ain't to bad ..(I'm getting close to 300 kits in my pile) .you are still in the early stages of the decease...Just think of that pile as part of your retirement fund....Hey when we are old and grey ,at least we'll have kits to build !! And as I always say .....
He who dies with the most kits ....WINS!
