Lonewolf's POV:

We arrived at around one o'clock in the afternoon.

Entered the convention area.

Immediately went to the exhibit area.

Saw Fritz and his modified 'FAMO' kit.

Went down to the lower levels to grab lunch.

Went back up to the con, and tried to hunt some good merchandise. (to no avail...T_T)

Meet up an old friend and goofed off with the cosplayers. (kaka-loko yung nag-cosplay ng 'Chi'...^_^)

Tried looking for CRISMAG....(Nandun dw yung entries nya, pro hnde nmn nakita... )

At around 4pm, we went down to Lils and got ourselves new kits....^_^ (malas!! wlang extra weapon sets!!!)

Then on our way home, we stopped by STC..Got me a ARVN Rangers kit...(bago na yung platic bag ng STC.)

Made another stop sa AMW.....Browsed kits..again.....XD

In addition, nandun dn c Mr. Pedro Javier with his entries, 1:35th scale figures....

I also remember seeing a General 'Lee' tank (Lee ba yun o Grant? Hnde ko alam...) from the IPMS-BAC "Enter the British" contest...Pati yung nakadisplay sa Lils na Self-Propelled German artillery na naka-whitewash, inenter din sa contest...

That's about my report..^_^ Ralph, POST MO NA YUNG PIX!

Fritz - Astig yng ammo box mo!!! Waaaa!!!

Crismag - Nasan ka?

Wish you guys were there....^_^

Was also there but didn't go to ToyCon itself. Arrived 12:30. Thankfully found a parking slot in the basement. Surprise surprise! Blackonyx of PinoyExchange texted me and asked whether we had entries in the ToyCon. He was in the area with his family. We set up an impromptu EB at Lil's after lunch. While we were there we also met Ping "Shaft" Malay and we talked about kits and projects for the next few minutes. Blackonyx bought an Academy Crusader. Hope he finishes it for the Nationals. Hope he also survived his wife's raised eyebrows when she saw the kit hehehe :-)

Gargh! All I got was DML's "Frozen Battleground" Moscow 1941....A very nice DML kit,I like it much, but crap...I was hoping that there will be spare weapons inside...

Also got hold of DML's ARVN Rangers....Now I can set plans for Korea.....^____^

Hello!

I stayed there until 7 pm to wait for the announcement of the winners:
ARMOR
1st place: M113 ACAV (Greg)
2nd place: M51 Super Sherman (Simon)
3rd place: Sd.Kfz.9 (guy who lives near the mental hospital)

FIGURES (As far as I can remember)
1st place: Special forces (greg)
2nd place: forgot
3rd place: forgot also

Astig yung cosplay! There was a total of more or less 45 contestants. There were 2 guys dressed up as Macross pilots, 1 guy dressed as Tipi Takamiya (Bt'X), Astroboy, some RO chracters (there was one girl dressed up as a mage. A lot of men thought she was hot, well I gues you couldn't blame them. She was wearing a modified 2 piece red bathing suit....you get the idea ), 4 ROTC people(or I think they were) who identified themselves as "Toy soldiers" (F.Y.I. the contest was called "Live action figure contest" for a reason), then came 3 guys (who I think are friends since the armor texture of their costumes are similar) dressed up in authentic-looking costumes as the Witch King (LOTR), Uruk Hai (LOTR), and Orc (not from LOTR).

I don't know who won since as I said I left at 7 pm.

Trophy yung prize. Wala kasing cash prize dahil wala na mang entry fee sa contest. But a trophy is really nice !!!!!!
