Gents,
Regarding this forum. Would you rather see one "Canada" forum or forums based on Canadian Provinces?
Assuming you can't have both that is.
Cheers,
Jim

Jim
I think provinces would be easier to find local modelers. But whatever makes your life easier.

I agree with HastyP, separate provinces seems like the way to go, but whatever is the easiest, I'm cool with!

You could always mimic the other forum areas and have the provinces as "focus" areas within this forum.

By province is a good way of doing it as it would make it easier to find others in your general area. But then, I'm pretty easy on things and either way wouldn't really bother me!

I think allocation of provincial or regional discussion groups would be good, especially if we wanted to arrange a get together or meet at a show. A Canadian show forum might also be useful. We want to make sure we get it right off the bat or else we will need seven provinces representating over 50% of the population to cahnge it later.

LOL...well I am one of the few from the Atlantic Provinces.
As far as I know, there are 4 shows here, not including Newfoundland.
Fredericton usually has their show in late April early May, Halifax has their show in early Oct, as well there is a car model show to correspond to the huge car show in Moncton, and a quasi hobby show in Shearwater sometime in Sept I believe.
Other than that!!
I know of about 4 other people that I know pesonally that are from down here in the Maritimes that belong to the site.

It finally takes a modelling forum to separate Quebec from the rest of Canada ... :-) Just kidding !! Either by province or by region ..Maritimes ...central ... Praries and of course those others way over on the other side of those mountains ...But I'm sure we could all get along with one big forum too ...EH!

I think that setting up provincal forums would give local modelers a greater chance to get together.

I would stick with one big Canada forum like we have right now, there seems to be not too much of us yet.
We could always change things later on, when the invasion is really underway!
