I just had a quick comment, and a couple of questions. I use the MIG powders, and have had very good success with them. I cannot get MMS Powders where I live, so I cannot provide a comment on the product. We have an alternative to both, a product called Stardust Weathering Powders. Not too bad, but I prefer MIG.

Ok Question One: I've only used the powders dry. I've experimented with using them wet, with so-so results...I want to look at getting that caked up look, like built up dirt around running gear, etc. Is there a method to this madness? ha ha

Question Two: Does anyone happen to have some scaled down wallpaper designs that can be emailed and printed off? I'm doing a ruined building and the inside will be seen, and I'm looking to add some razzle dazzle to the interior and wall paper will be perfect. The building scene will be in Holland, so I don't know if that makes much difference for styles or not...anyone who can help, THANKS!!

Answer to question 2- Try this site
http://www.printmini.com/printables/
Yeah I know it's a dollhouse site, but have a look around. Some of this stuff is remarkably useful. Also page back & forth to find the Links page- more sites than you can shake a 1:100 scale ruler at!If nothing else, you can save them to whatever Image manipulation progam you have & scale up/down as required. HTH!
As to question 1, sorry. I'm still lving in the dark ages of Pastels & baking soda...

There are two methods (I know of) to make textured mud with Mig pigments. 1° is to mix it with gloss or satin acrylic varnish (I use Vallejo or Andrea). The more pigment you use the more texture it has. This works great especially on figures.
2° This one is better on vehicles I feel. Mix plaster, woodglue, Mig Pigments, Mig Acrylic resin and sawdust or sand. Apply this mix to your vehicle. I also use this mix to build my groundwork. This way I don't need to paint it anymore as it is already coloured, and the acrylic resin prevents it from cracking.

I hope this helps,

Use them dry or wet them with water or tamiya thinner to simulate mud.
