We have been selected to be the testbed for a new feature that Jim is working on.
Notice how Google knows that you're Filipino and redirects you to google.com.ph? Or that Yahoo shows Filipino ads when you read email? It's called localisation and we're one of the first on Armorama to experience it. Notice the box on the right side of the Armorama home page? It's supposed to show a link to the Filipino Forums and a list of events, among others. If you do not see these please let me know.
Thanks!

Hey I like the feature, hehe, parang "at home na at home" feeling hehehe..
Anyways, it's working fine on my workstation, tried and tested it on 3 browsers (Mozilla Firefox, IE, MyIE 2.0).

I haven't actually started using the IP localization tables yet. Right now the box is just appearing for those who have "Phillipines" selected as their country. But evetually even visitors from there will see it too.
Also it's not working on the other theme (focus) versions of the site (including the dialup version). It evetually WILL work with the dialup version.
Cheers,
Jim

Hi Staff Jim,
It's not working on mine. I'm under the armour theme of the site; this could be the reason that it's not working for me.
Thanks for the new feature and I can't wait to experience it.

Hi SR,
Already did and the new feature "ROCKS". I just did not want to change my theme but I hope it will work in all themes in the future.
Cheers,

Hey Klinger!
You might want to "come home" and raise the Philippine flag The feature will only work for those with the Philippine flag for now.

Hey 4-Eyes! We just need something to welcome Filipinos to the community. Something like what now appears on our box on the front page but preferably in Filipino.
Tnx!
