Not really dude. You just got to have a Friendship sticker. Di nga lang sa likod ng Pilar labas mo. Alam mo yung 7-11 na katapat yung Jollibee? Doon ka lalabas pag wala kang sticker ng Pilar.

Same with above (I think). Friendship sticker din ata dito. Labas mo Moonwalk Village (hint hint ) tapos pasok ka Royal South -> Pilar tapos labas ka rin doon sa may 7-11 :-)

I know about the Friendship sticker, and yes it does wonders, but even still bagsak mo pa ren sa Alabang Zapote. Right? And if you didn't notice, traffic pa ren dun. And you missed my point, hehe, hindi gagana para saken yan. Hehe.

AMW has indeed been assimilated by Lil's, although not wholly acquired. The old owner still has a stake in the store. It's just that he's not able to attend to it that often anymore due to other matters. I guess this is good news to the boys down south. The Tamiya M3A2 Halftrack, British 25pdr., QUAD gun tractor, Sdkfz. 7/2 have been reissued. Yes the 959 is also back in stock. No new planes though. No joy on new Italeri items yet as the Euro is skyrocketing. Of course Tamiya's Challenger 2 (Desertised) is also available. Sweet!

Also, I would like to see the Tamiya Corsair with Moto Tug as well as more M3s, Tigers, Shermies, Shermies and Shermies!!! I'll be their greatest consumer if ever that happens!

Nice to hear you were able to get a good "deal", hehe! Well as always, Tamiya just punishes the competition with its engineering -- swerte ha, hindi curb-side. Hehe!

Car-modeller ka ren pala cbrain? Galing ah, hindi ko alam yun! Patingin naman iba mong works.

Which Subaru WRC Car was there? If you chance upon a WRC Subaru Arai version, I'd recommend the kit highly, galing pa nang decals which come with the kit -- which essentially means medyo magaling ka dapat mag lapat nang decals, haha! Which I'm not, unfortunately. So I'm putting the kit aside, for now.

Which Skyline did you see? I'm currently on the look out for the Calsonic Skyline and the Pennzoil Skyline, blue and yellow respectively.

On the bit on Fujimi, well I think I've voiced out my theory on how the things are priced on another thread. Hehe! Pero IMO sulit pa ren yung binabayaran mo talaga if you're on the hunt for really nice import cars. Pag dating sa European cars, or WRC/GT/F1 cars, sulit pa ren para sa akin ang Tamiya. Bar None.

On a side note. The Hobby Shop in Shangri-La Edsa Mall seems to be stocking up on car kits, and AFV kits, too. Though a bit limited, still it's nice to know when you drop by Shang, may mapupuntahan na tayo na "lugar". Most of their car kits are VW Beetles, I even saw a Hasegawa kit. Most of them are priced at Fujimi-prices, though, plus most of them are a bit old; but if you're a VW afficionado then you might want to drop by that shop, too.

Actually, isa pa lang nabuo kong car kit.... that was way back in gradeschool.... I think it was a 1/24th Chevrolet Corvette Z-51.... napagtripan nga lang ng mga bata kong cousins... ayun wala na.

See my sig below? I'm currently working on that car right now. It's a rather classic Paris-Dakar Rally Mercedes Benz 500 SLC driven by Jochen Mass way back in the mid-80s. It's an old ESCI kit din which I found dirt-cheap sa Nova Fontana a couple of months ago. :-)

I might go back sa AMW/Lil's this afternoon.... check ko yung mga WRC/GT car kits dun.

Does anybody know where I can find classic mopar / muscle car kits (specially yung '69 Dodge Challenger)? May nakita kasi ako sa Hobbitoi kaso.... it's kinda pricey ata... tsaka STC yun e.

If you compare it with other competitors, generally lil's is much cheaper.

It's the Subaru 1999 WRC ata?.... Basta yung blue.

Ahhh..the Xanavi Skyline comes in two flavors pa ata eh, one Special Edition (?), which has PE parts, and the regular-kit.

Oh, you also frequent Nova Fontana huh? I've been lucky to have been able to get really good deals amon their old-stock-pile, too. I was supposed to get the same Rally-Car you're making, but I opted to pick up the Audi Quattro ESCI kit na lang. Hehe!

Yep I usually pass by Greenhills (or any other place with hobby shops there in north/eastern Manila) before and after our BAC meets. :-) I think I got the last of this kind although there's also another Paris-Dakar Benz over there, a silver 450 SLC that was driven by Bjorn Waaldegard which I also got. ehehehe. Yep, that ESCI Audi Quattro is also nice albeit being a curbside kit. Are the Fujimi kits of mid-sized sedans over there also curbsides? Despite the kits being old, their dirt-cheap prices really are attractive and keeps me coming back for more.... .... ehehehe

I'd just like to remind to whoever plans to get any of those old-stocks to check the contents of the kit they're getting.... a lot of them have missing tires and damaged decals. I believe these kits came from the old Nova Fontana ATC branch which got flooded way back in the mid or late 90s.

Gawd! I miss that store! I hope they decide to re-stock on plastic model kits and not just concentrate on action figures and die-cast metal toys.

Nove Fontana? Ah, yes. I remember a time when a trip to Cubao, SM City and Greenhills would not be complete without a visit.

Remember that Buy One Take One promo? Whoever would have thought that was the swan song for model kits for Nova Fontana.

Shonen,

The hobby shop in Shangri-la is in a shop called URBAN. They sell tactical gear (Wargames!!), real guns, knives and modelling stuff supplied by STC (or so I heard). They sell modelling stuff at what you may call as "STC prices".
The shop is in the 6th floor (Shang has 6 mall floors plus a basement & 7 floors if you include the extra parking floor). Its in the same floor as the Cinemas, True value, Hans tools, Computer alley (or whatever you call that). URBAN is in front of Hans tools.

Fritz

P.S. Di ako makakapunta sa wargames. Punta kasi pinsan ko sa amin eh . Siguro kung pwede baka 1-2 hour visit lang before lunch.

Ack! same lang sa STC? I'll pass :-) It's because STC has the same line of kits throughout their store so Festival and ATC is ok for me. Lils na lang ako pag napadaan ako syan.
