Haven't tried it myself, but it's the only 1/35 kit that I know of.

Hi , it may be the only kit on the block in plastic , but from all the reviews i have read it is dog of a kit , needs loads of work to correct basic faults , will the new trumpeter kit of the LCM 3 not be better , cheers ian

The ancient Lindberg 1/32 scale LCVP is still kicking around. Decent shape and the vessel's uniqueness make it easy to match with 1/35 scale items. Many of the fittings can be detailed with newer items like the machine guns and gun shields.

It's been reissued in the past two years and they were relatively cheap.

An LMC would do if i couldn't find anything else... i found one on ebay for $129.99 which is a bit much for a 1/35th scale model.

modelman,

the LCM you refer to will be the verlinden resin kit, trumpeter and italeri are due to release their kits in plastic, and they will be a lot cheaper.

i picked up the lindberg LCVP for £16 in my local model shop a month or two back. as has been said, its a reasonable kit, and can be easily upgraded with extra detail.

trumpeters kit will be released in in the near future, check out PMMS for a review

cheers

I made my recommendation based on Gunnie's words regarding the FM kit: LCVP.

I've got a couple of the Lindberg ones, an old one I build 20 yrs ago and one I recently acquired on eBay. I think they are relatively good models. Doubt I paid more than $10 for mine.
