Don't know if I'll finish in time.. but gonna try!!! LOL too bad I couldn't turn 'single' for a couple of weeks then it would be a breeze!

First time trying Putty Zim... used R&J Zimmer It Rite.. the stuff I had was kind of old. .so kind of hard.. last couple sessions I baked it in the oven a lil prior.. that helped!... Don't know how happy I'll be.. but I look at it as a good learning experience!!

Lord Blue Fin,
Don't panic, just build smoothly and smartly. It does look like the rt side idler mount angles up.Or is taht a visual illusion?
Will you be putting trowel marks in the zimm on the lower hull?

Lord FishMan,

This looked very convincing, I had tried the zimmer on my Pz IV L/48 as well, I must say it was quite fun.

God I wish I could get back to the lowly world of armor modeling again.... they so muddy.

Zimmerit is looking pretty good, Charlie. Not bad for a first crack at putty. Jagdpanzer IV's are cool vehicles anyhow !!

I tried the Squadron Green Putty once on an old Tamiya Tiger I kit with not-so-good results. That Tiger kit fought the battle of Kursk (in my back yard) and lost to a "Soviet anti-tank rifle" :-)

I was thinking of trying the Tamiya Polyester Putty and see how that works out

Anyhow, keep up the good work !

Cheers !!

Dave.. Polyester looks cool.. on the MMIR Tiger book.. is it easy to keep the tools clean?.. that's one plus on the R&J. .just keep the tools soaked in water and they stay cleaner.. but that Polyester looks like it's a breeze to work with!
