In an old issue of TMMI theres an article on Zero fighter.
In it is states " the exposed metal scrapes were hand applied using X11 paint pumped out from a Tamiya Paint Marker".
Could someone please clarify what one of these is/does?
Cheers

Paint pens are made by several different manufacturers. Tamiya's pens contain Tamiya paint in a metal tube with a fiber tip and a metal BB inside the tube. You shake up the paint inside the tube and by pressing down on the fiber tip paint will flow - like a giant felt-tip pen. Hobby shops and some office supply stores (at least in the USA) carry different brands.
I find that the paint tends to flow too fast for fine work. The hobby/crafts shops then to have more variety in colors and tip sizes, than the Tamiya selection. You can find them in both water and oil base paints.
