I am interested in taking the college route to become a military officer. However, I have a unique (and impossible to find without ultrasound) medical condition. I was born with one kidney. I can do pretty much anything (I am on my school wrestling team). Would the medical examinations find this, or would they even care?

Sorry to say, but it doenst sound like a good idea. When you are completing your initial entry paperwork and take your physical you will be questioned about your medical history. Should you not mention it, and do get in, then become sick/injured at a later date, you could face some ugly times for "False enlistment". I would check with a recruiter to be on the safe side. Things may have changed since I was a recruiter some 14 or so years ago. Never hurts to ask. "Q"
