Hi Jeff,
just finished paintjob on a Tamiya 1:25 Tiger I. For piccs:

In any case I think Tamiya is the good choice. So if you think in buying a 1:25 Tamiya kit, donīt hesitate. Building and painting them is a lot of fun.
Happy modelling with Your new kit

Greetings

Ralf

Bought this model in ebay ($ 50 , so it went painted. I only had to strip of a thick layer of panzergrey before "dressing it up" to 3-Color-Camo. But there was no need to fill holes or add more detail than a home made mesh wire and some wire fore the lamps. The main problem with 1:25 scale indeed is figures: It is nearly impossible to finda good detailed tank crew in this scale. Or does anybody know where to find some good looking folks for Tamiyas lonesome 1:25 Tiger & Co?

Not any Amercian that I have seen. They run about double the 1/35 price. I guess stores don't carry them cause of the price plus not much items available.
