Was at the video store and noticed that a director's cut of Das Boot was being released on DVD.

I have a version that is about 4 hours long on DVD. I thought mine was the director's cut. Now there is another version!? (I believe there is some 8 hour version out there too. Insane!)

Wow, I've never seen a film that gets so much mileage. Are we supposed to be buying all of these? Next I'm expecting the Best Boy cut or maybe the Gaffers cut. How about a Craft Services cut?

To watch all these movies would take longer than the lifespan of an average U-boat during the war!

I actually just picked up my "Key Grip"s cut yesterday, and am planning on saving for when they release the "Sound Editors" cut.
