Browsed through our Oracle inventory system, just checking my warehoused goods. I came across "TOYS - Recreation" parameter. Actually I'm not allowed there but I used another guy's password. So I opened it. Saw that Barbie is still sold in our store. Hulk as well. ToyBIZ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle too. Then surprisingly came out Revell-Monogram. I opened this item again then came out: Hughes 500c 1/32, F111 Lkhd 1/72, Prinz Euge 1/720, etc... .... all in Kit Pak packaging. So I went down to the Toys Department and sure enough, I saw them nestled between jigsaw puzzles and gameboards.
Nicely priced too. The Hughes was priced at equal to US$5.60 at 1/32 scale. This was a civilian version that we converted for military use. Skill levels are at 2 and 3. I'm not so sure if these things are gonna sell since Arabs are generally impatient people. Maybe some would buy it thinking it's already built!
Snooping around our computer system is really fun! Thinking about placing an order for 1000 thongs and ship them to Afghanistan and spark another revolution.
:-) :-) :-)
So could anybody tell me what is the difference between Huhges 500 and the OH-6 Cayuse? I already have the latter.

Hughes 500M: Military export version of OH-6 in mid-1970s with upgraded 278-shp Allison 250-C18 turboshaft engine, “V” tail. A recontoured nose allowed for greater leg and head room. Modifications were also made to the rotor assembly by way of a five blade main rotor which increased stability.
MD-500MD/Scout and TOW Defender: Improved military version of the model 500 with 5 main rotor blades, 375-shp Allison 250-C20B turboshaft engine, and T-tail.
MD-500E/MD-500MG/Defender II: Had a more elongated nose for streamlining, and an optional 4x blade tail rotor for reduced acoustic signatures. Possible mast-mounted sight.

We meet at least once a month along with another 1 or two guys. But so far the are only 3 or four of us guys who do this regularly. Yes! we drink when we get together more often than not!!!
Why'd you ask?

"Morality Police"? If there was such a bureau here Maui Taylor, Diana Zubiri and Aubrey Miles would be nobodys. They would never be seen by millions, including me.
...
MABUHAY ANG DEMOKRASYA!!!
Aaahh, kits in toys sections. Reminds me of the 80s when even small botiques in front of UST displayed a box or two of kits in their window panes.

Even National Bookstore and South Supermarket's Toy Section (ACC pa nun hindi ATC) had model kits then.... and Nova Fontana was the place to go when lookin' for nice kits.

Sa Al Khobar located, 15clicks NNW of Dammam proper, nasa 2nd St. in front of Telemoney, Baeshen ang pangalan ng store. Sa Jeddah, same owner, in front of Sands Hotel sa may Thahliah St., near Danube Supermarket and BMW showroom. Medyo mas libre sa Dammam/Khobar area or Jeddah area.

mondo,
yeah riyadh is such a tight city (well due to the royalty and seat of goverment thats why). Sabi nga ni erpat riyadh lang ang pinaka mahigpit na city sa whole ME.
good thing pare, di ka pa nadadale ng mutawas. anyway thanks for the info. Field inspector din kase si erpat so kung sakali madaan ng alkhobar baka mag pa-iskor ako ng kits.
thanks ulit
cheers
