For painting faces in 1/35 I use this method:
1) Paint flesh parts with basic flesh color
2) Make a wash of burnt sienna (the paint to thinner ratio will depend on you if you want a light or strong shadow contrast)
3) Highlight by drybrushing
4) paint the eyes, eyebrows, & lips.
For shading the clothes in 1/35th scale I use this method:
1) Paint the basecoat or cammo pattern
2) Use a wash on the basecoat
-If monotone mix basecoat with black to make wash color, if using a cammo pattern mix black to the dominant color to make wash color
-If using monotone you can make the wash as dark as you like but in cammo patterns you should make the wash as thin as possible so as to make tha cammo pattern as visible as possible
3) Highlight by drybrushing lighter shade of basecoat or dominant color.
