Much as I dislike seeing any more axis armour when there is so much allied stuff never even attempted in plastic, we do need a new 88mm. Then all I need is a Matador and I can model the guns captured and used by us in North Africa and Italy!

The AFV is I believe in 1/72nd scale. Perfect therefore for Warhammer thingies.

The 88 is indeed coming out, or more correctly the Flak 36/18... Apart from all this, one thing that should be borne in mind that many of these products are for the Japanese/Asian market. There it seems, the demand is very much more for Axis vehicles. Before we start with the usual but why can't we get more allied vehicles? battlecry, it is worth remembering that companies like AFV Club are continuing to bring out a considerable number of allied/U.S. vehicles. The same company has also saved the entire Skybow range from oblivion. Dragon, if anyone would care to read the release lists, are bringing out several new allied vehicles AND numerous figure sets. Trumpeter is giving us the LCM in 1:35th (as is Italeri)... In other words, things are a lot more positive...

As for the AFV Club 251s? I am not a German modeller, but with these I will certainly be making an exception.....Ever-optimistically. Jim

Well I'm into Allied stuff too these days ,but I'm sure going to find place for most of those 251's and that 88 ..how cool is that!! An LCM on my dragon wagon ...sounds like a project!

While I would love to see a whole wish list of Allied equipment come out I won't begrudge the axis guys from a new 251 and 88. Of course if I ever was to buy one of them I'd have to make it knocked out or captured. :-)

That said I just wish SOMEBODY would hear our prayers and give us a well made updated US Half-Track, a Matilda II that isn't 25 years old, a REAL early model Sherman, like was used by the Brits at Alamein. I know, I know, the Asian market is mainly for German stuff, and that more and more Allied stuff is coming out, but I can dream, can't.
