Hello everyone, I'm new! My friend, Shermies Rule, told me about the site. It looks like a great place so far.
I do some crafts, but have never attempted modelling until now. I'm very excited and I'm sure to learn a lot from the forum members!
Cheers!

Hey babycakes. Glad to see you made it.
To all the members this is my friend who really likes my models and supports my hobby. See this thread:

She wants to build a 1/35 Jeep and dio. She's bidding one on eBay.

Hi Nicia,
Welcome, you'll find we are a rather fun group.
So don't let the "grumpy" in the name scare you off.... LOL
Yep the Old Man part is true......
But I got the "grumpy" title because I really am always laughing and joking, and kabitzing around,
that one of my buddies started saying...."Oh, yeah I know Dave, that Grumpyoldman".......
Have a good time building your first model, but have to warn you,
it can get to be quite an addiction.....

Just to show that this is an international community a great big "KUMUSTA!!!" from the islands of the Philippines from a Filipino who happens to work in Saudi Arabia. So in Arabic, "Ahlan Whassahlan!!!" would be in order as well. Now that covers a big part of the world.
We don't see too much females joining up our little cult. But come to think of it, my girlfriend back in college nudged me into this. She made architectural models and I helped her built them. Plus i get to be the one to position those small cars and people in them.

Always nice to see a new member. Remember, ask questions-we all do. And since you're going to do a jeep, maybe this will help. Enjoy.

I know GI Babycakes won her eBay Jeep. Now we just need to get her to commit to the Softskins campaign!!! I told her she doesn't need to build a dio, just the jeep. Come on... it's Jan 2005 end date!!! Hehe
