Hi Steve,
I don't know of any single website, for figures the insiginia was mainly a semi-circular 'title' at the top of the sleeve in red, blue or black with the name of the unit, and any rank insignia. Some units were also distinguished by a coloured patch under the title do denote a larger formation. Try putting the name of the unit into a search engine.
For vehicles, you could try the same method as above, or for tanks:

For artillery tractors and guns:

Steve-O, if you are serious about British infantry and Vehicles, there really is only solution, invest in a couple of good books. My advice on these occasions is always the same, the Histoire and Collections series..

There are two volumes:
"FROM D-DAY TO VE-DAY, THE BRITISH SOLDIER, VOLUME 1" BY JEAN BOUCHERY

"FROM D-DAY TO VE-DAY, THE BRITISH SOLDIER VOLUME II" BY JEAN BOUCHERY

Volume 1 is concerned with Equipment, Insignia and Uniforms.

Volume 2 covers Organisation, Armament, Tanks and Vehicles.

Both these books should be available from Amazon (that's where I got mine) failing that, go here and type in the titles and you will find a) A bookstore nearby which has them or B) an on-line bookstore which has what you are looking for:

ABEBOOKS ....Hope this is of some help, Jim
