Some one on EBAY is selling one of his original Diorama from back in the 70's. Best of my knowledge he is alive and well. But I have not seen of spoken to him in 8-9 years.
This is a pic... the model has been damaged but still shows Shep skill... these are old Monogram Models... no PE, Verlinden or Resin add-ons...
My favorite is still his Diorama/vignette "Scotland forever" a Historex conversion of the Scots Grey Charge at Waterloo… and the “King of Rome” a Old Guard Grenadier with Napoleons infant son in his arms... OR is it the “USS Monitor Gun Turret”…. Or the “HMS Victory”…..
Like fine wine, he just gets better.

That dio looks very different than in his book, it's also missing the chicken in the MG barrel, and the set up looks changed. I guess he is still alive, when someone so known dies there is no doubt you are going to hear about it
I just love hos figures, and how he can get some dark shadows and light highlights together and make it look so natural.

Shep is good and alive , i have read in a forum some time ago that he is not going so public last year. But he also havent published any new book for some years . Maybe he is bored....or who knows. But to me he still is the inspiration and the best guy around to show you in a few words how to do it .

Shep was nice enough to autograph some of his books for us in our first Content contest/drive. So I can attest he was alive and well then.
That diorama certainly brings back memories.
