Karlbergs Slott (castle) Stockholm, is one of the oldest Military Academies in the world. It was established in 1792 as the Royal War Academy, to train the officers for both Navy and Army. Although the navy moved out for 75 years, they returned again in 1987.
It was nice to see other sides of the military as well. On display was the army field bakery, Team K9 dog division, the thistle pipe band, concert with the Karlbergs Music Corps, Field lunch, motorbike stunt and co-ordination displays by Arméns lejon (the army lions) and a mock battle with shore assault.
Various vehicles and weapons were on display and the sunshine just added to a lovely day out.
