Hi Armor hobbyists,

Do you think it's worth it? I especially want to hear from those who have done some scratch building stuff using a 3D printer for 1/35 models. Thank you in advance.

As far as I know this is a good one. Results are amazing but it takes some work and practice to get them, it is not like a laser printer that you simply send the file and get the job done -there are some parameters to adjust.

You can either download items from other users or create them yourself, which requires using specific software and, of course, involves learning. It is not that hard but takes time and practice.

But once you get used to it, you can almost forget styrene. And you can easily reprint, reuse and modify your projects.

The biggest issue with home 3D printers, is the CAD skills needed. It takes time to master CAD programs. I have a Anycubic Photon, but I happen to be a CAD Designer by day, so that gives me a huge advantage.

There's also a learning curve with the slicing/support adding software.

If you have the CAD skills or are willing to learn, then It's nice to have.
