I have built only 1/72 planes. I'm working on a phantom for the campaign. It's big. I couldn't figure out a way to put a stick through it for painting, so I painted it in segments, which was fine. For decaling I stuck it onto a paint jar using a bunch of blue tack. That is fine for the top and sides of the plane, but doesn't really work that well for underneath.
And now, I've purchased a 1/48 phantom and intend to do all the underplane stenciling. So I'm looking for pointers or suggestions about some kind of device to hold the plane while I'm working on it.
Suggestions?

Found this ‘cardboard box jig (with semi-circular cutouts’ on AeroScale (approx. halfway down page 1).
There are commercial versions available as well. Google is your friend. HTH.
