Hi all,
what are the best resins for the following:
1. copying/ making other parts ie tyres, ammo boxes etc.
2. for making water for dioramas (I have in mind a Sherman crossing through a stream) & need it not to melt the kit as it will have to be placed in the resin.
I know this has probably been asked before but I can't find anything in latest post, I'm possibly looking in the wrong place
Many thanks in advance,
Kenny

I like the products from Vagabond Corporation. They have a RTV Rubber for making molds called GT1000. They also have two-part casting resins in various drying times. I use XXXFast, it sets in about 10-15 minutes. I have had good luck with both and highly recommend them.
For water I use fiberglass resin. It is also a two-part liquid that can be bought relatively cheaply at any discount or auto supply store with the body repair items. Only caution is to only pour it in about 1/8 inch at a time, as it will get too hot and crack if poured thicker.
