Maybe they could be used as armatures to sculpt figures around. Get the poses set up and then create realistic figures from those poses.

Maybe have them as battle droids that your regular figures are looking at.

They DO have a battle droid look to them! In that case I would think of them as 'future soldiers' maybe.
I think the most intriguing thing is probably the articulation in 1/35. I too thought of stop-motion movies. Or using them to PLAN a 1/35 scene. Or heck, just as toys maybe. They can move! Or, here's a thought - showroom dummies. They can demo how to use the latest weapons and vehicles in your 1/35 military open day!
I also wondered about using them as armatures - but you would still need to be good at modeling clothes! You could plan a scene though as I mentioned above.
