Well for someone who has just joined Armorama, it may seem a little odd to say that I'm not as interested in the military side of things, but that's the truth. As a kid I wasn't exposed to miniatures or model building at all. I think it was generally assumed that "girls didn't like that sort of thing." As an adult I have discovered the wonder of dioramas and the making of little worlds and I am trying to learn this now. This site seems to have amazing resources and nice people, so here I am.

I am particularly interested in learning about road building, city scenes, and replicating destruction of various types for a specific project, so I will be avidly reading.

Meaghann - welcome to Armorama! We're glad you're here and I think you'll quickly find out that these members are more than just all about the "military" - they're fun to interact with and get to know. Mostly, they're great modelers who like to share.

We look forward to your creations too!

Lots of talented people in here to help you out and hope to see some of your work and hope that you will keep us posted on your (specific) project's progress!! Care to tell us a little about it?

Meaghann,
Welcome aboard, glad to have you with us. This is a great site for all of your modeling needs. If you need anything or have any questions don't hesitate to ask. There is a great wealth of knowledge here.

There is a fellow female modeler out there that is a very honest dealer and is a good source for books, kits or whatever and her name is M. J. Rudy. Just type in her name in your search bar and you will be able to go to her web site. I have dealt with her for several years now and have always been happy with the results.

Enjoy yourself here at Armorama.
Harv.

Hello and welcome! Glad that you found us. It's always reassuring to see that it's not just guys taking part in this hobby. It helps to lower my personal feelings of geekiness until I look in the mirror again. Feel free to ask any and all questions you might have about whatever it is you're working on, and fire off any comments or opinions you might have regarding anything that suits your fancy. We're all ready and willing to help and open for suggestions.
Enjoy the site!

Boy, ain't that the truth! I've just recently gotten back into the hobby and my wife keeps giving me the strangest looks... But she knows that I'm enjoying myself, so she let's me have my hobby and "paint your little men" as she likes to put it... But it's great that you are interested, at least in the modeling side of it if not so much the military side!

At any rate, welcome and have fun!

Welcome to the site from a fellow BCer!!!! This is the best resources for any type of model or diorama making that you could find anywhere. The folks here can answer anything that you want to know and if they can't, they can tell you where you can find it. Like I said, it's a great place to be.

welcome. it is weird that the exact opposite happens to me, I am so abssesed with world war two and not so much about modeling, but it is fun that I can somehow express that felling I have through modeling my favorite subjects
