Hi all,

Recently taken up modelling and after a couple of aircraft have decided to settle on mainly armour. Just completed my first armour kit - bit of a steep learning curve!

If I can work out how to post photos, I would welcome some feedback. I've managed to resize and upload, but they all upload upside down for some reason.

Looks like the Microsoft Photo Editor that came with my laptop has a rotation option along the top that works. Apologies for manipulating your image. Great work by the way! The cart is impressive as well.

Go to your Gallery, select an image, click on Edit.
The display changes to an edit view and in the upper right area you find links to rotate CW and CCW.

Rotate twice in the same direction. Submit changes

Refresh the window to make sure that the links are updated

Hit the Links button and copy the marked part. It could work if you copy the whole thing. It failed for me but maybe that was because I didn't refresh the page first ...

Paste the copied link between the img-brackets

When you create a post there is a row of buttons below the input field, one of these is labeled IMG.
It brings up the square brackets with img and /img inside them. Your image link goes between those brackets.
When you edit a post as I am doing right now you don't have the buttons but Alt Gr + 8 and 9 respectively gets you the square brackets and then simply type img and /img inside the brackets. There must be at least one blank/space character in front of the first img-bracket.

Thanks all for the warm welcome and also the assistance on the photos Robin.

The cart was trial and error. I initially tied brush painting with Vallejo natural woodgrain, with a darker wash over the top of woodgrain, but couldn't get a decent look. I then gave up and airbrushed Tamiya dark yellow as a base, with a woodgrain wash and a bit of dry brushing to highlight. More happy accident than intent in the end!

That is how we learn by watching others experiment and succeed! I have tried the acrylic Tamiya yellow base and a dark oil based paint wash for the wood grain effect in the past. What you have done looks great!

Welcome— nice work on the kit and the MiniArt base, I have that one as well.

Thanks all for the kind feedback. Liked the Miniart diorama kit, although needed quite a lot of filling on the wall.

Impressed enough to try one of their armour kits. Picked up a Miniart Su-122 kit with interior very cheap, but it’s gone on a shelf whilst I build up my skills!
