Heres a few pics of my 72nd Italeri RAAF Hawk 127. I entered this in IPMS-BAC's March contest so some of you have already seen it. I used Aussie decals on this one because the Italeri RAAF decals werent exactly accurate. Tell me what you think, guys.

Ang pogi naman niyan attorney! hehe! I like I like.

Question: Ano yung purpose nung parang "flag" sa may dulo nang antennae ba yun nang plane? I mean, does it serve a real purpose on the battlefield o decor lang sya? Just curious.

Grabe talaga ikaw mag detail nang interior, yan bang "yellow-and-black" stripes, dineskartehan mo nung technique na tinuro mo during the JMN meet? Or are they from a decal-sheet?

It's beautiful. For a 1/72 scale, the pit is impressive. The dropped flaps are nice.

The lighting makes it somewhat difficult to ascertain, but I think a darker wash would bring out the details. The scoops behind the pit lack definition.

Perhaps that red flag is a "Remove Before Flight" type.

Again, the cockpit makes me think it's a larger scale model. Great job!

Thanks a lot, guys! Im glad you liked it.

Jomz,
The "flag" is actually a "Remove Before Flight" tag, RAAF style. It assures that the aircrew will do the walkaround before each flight, and serves as well as a sort of warning to unwary ground personnel of pointed objects. There is another tag located in the red probe cover on the nose side and another on the front landing gear.

If youre referring to the yellow and black stripes on the ejection seat handles, yes. But that very same day during our JMNs meet I got this very nice and very pointed brush, and Voila!

Rysorne,
The kit was quite heavily modified, especially the cockpit area. I stripped the seats of detail and corrected them using instant cup noodle foil lids and styrene stock. I was able to download a lot of pics from the net and I figured since I may only build one Hawk 127 Id make the most of it.

BT6,
I didnt use too much wash on this as the Aussie Decals markings I used portrayed a RAAF Hawk upon delivery. So its not yet heavily stained.

Shonen,
Aaaww. Youre too kind.

Blitz,
Long time no hear, my friend. Been quite busy myself lately. How are things with you?

Ey, Buck:

Even though the markings are Aussie, you should also display your RAF cap to show why your model is "Klinger's Choice"

Why not submit this to www.aircraftresourcecenter.com? Shonen Red just made his "debut" article there.

Cool! Sounds high tech. I assume you walk through the virtual building? If it were only easy to do magandang idea yan for modelers. Before beginning a project you can make up a virtual model and you can see the modifications you will make.
