So the other day I was trying to find my subscribed topics and had trouble selecting the parameters - did not see the choices I was expecting. I then noticed that I was not logged in even though I thought I had.... I logged in and got what I wanted. So just now I logged in to look something up and couldn’t find a topic. So I went to post and when I did it came up that I was not logged in and I had to log in again. Should I have to log in twice? I’m on an iPad using safari. Off topic - but while your here - I use safari as mentioned and in either landscape or portrait mode the site always default to about 3/4 size of the scree - is small. Is there a way other than pinching to expand to get the window the full size as a default view? Tks again.

It is possible to be logged in at two levels:
1. Kitmaker network, top level where all the forums co-exist
2. Individual Forum, such as Armorama

If you are only logged in at the forum level you will feel 'outside' on the network level.

In my case this has the odd effect that I have two different "staff" titles:
At forum level I am 'TOS Moderator' (Terminator Of Spam)
At network level I am 'Director of Member Services'
Same access and "powers" but the view I get is different.

Forum level with ads left and right

Network level without ads on the left side, I do see ads to the right even if this screen capture didn't capture any

I dunno. Its weird - I saw my user id at the top, next to settings then inbox, like I was logged in. Buy when I went to reply to a thread, I had to login in again to reply. Oh well, computers... I have noticed that I do have 2 different bookmarks - armorama.kitmaker and kitmaker.net. So, I'll update that... Tks for the quick response! Got it.

Did you try to reply to a thread you had opened by using the embedded Google search?
I have noticed that it tends to behave as an anonymous user, sort of hiding your identity behind Google search engine.

no. its shrunk down on my desktop safari and iPad. but on the desk, while the page is smaller and dent fill the the full browser width, the fonts seem to be not as bad as on the iPad.

You should be able to scale the site wider (larger) to remove the white space and read the text better. This site is a fixed width site on most pages though. That said almost any browser these days supports scaling to 100+% of the original page size.

Best wishes,
Jim

Okay, tks. I think it has something to do with browser security setting - maybe. Now on pc laptop in firefox, strict settings and the page is still small and off centered - to the left so that maybe only 75% of the screen has the forum and site on it. Lots of white space to the right. Back to the ipad, i can make the screen larger by pinching and expanding but it floats and it not fixed. Ill see what else i can figure out. Think its coding thing

Three images of adjusted window widths (I have wide screens so I never let a window occupy the whole surface)

Narrowed down, parts of header row and the right hand side ads have fallen off the edge

Perfect fit, everything visible, nothing missing

Extra wide with lots of white space to the right, header has expanded but the content and right hand side ads have stopped at the fixed width. Some spare white space has appeared on the left

Firefox, standard settings, Windows 10, laptop with extra screens
