I just got gas in Elkhorn, WI, near the folks house for $.99 ! Near where I live in Milwaukee it's $1.47 with the cheapest I saw was a $1.21 in the city.
I remember the dark days, 2008?, when it was flirting with $4. And, I also remember in 1970, when I pumped gas in high school, it was$.40 a gallon.
1970, you pumped the gas for the customer, washed the windows and asked if they needed their oil checked. You also got a Green Bay Packer water glass with a fill up! They're quite collectable now.

Anyhoo, how much is it where you are ?

No kidding ! I'd like to do a road trip but like you said, no place to go. Couldn't imagine living off fast food drive thru's. Being on vacation and trying the local foods is just as important as architecture. Food is culture to me.

It's 42 miles from my house to the folks. Granted it was 9AM when I drove home but about the only thing on the Interstate was Semi trucks, kinda eerie!

I wonder why it's so cheap in SE Wisconsin? maybe our gas tax is VERY low compared to the rest of the country.
I'd also like to say thank you to the Russians & Saudis for their little production war. Keep up the good work boys !
