Hey, maybe this is just a dumb idea, but what does everyone think about a campaign featuring work accomplished during the COVID crisis "lock-down". Proposed rules:

1)Any scale, any subject
2)Campaign dates: Now until everyone is released from solitary confinement (not sure how we pull it off, maybe SWAG an end date and just keep extending month-to-month)

When it's all over, everyone gets what we used to call when I was on active duty an "I was there, too" medal.

Thoughts?

Well, I am not in lockdown. Yet. If you support volunteers then you can count me in.

I think some suggested something similar, not sure how it went but I'm up for it as I'm a key worker, being a truck driver moving essential supplies

Didn’t go to far but it started out a gag. This is more in line with other campaign proposals.

I am game. I think I can find something that I haven’t started yet.

Howdy Y'all
Perhaps this might get more traction if it was moved to one of the Campaign forums. Sounds interesting, don't know what I'll build but I'm sure I'll find something as the stash has grown too big.
Take care,

Maybe lockdown isn't the right word. Restriction of Movement (ROM) is the term we've been using at work. The idea is simply to take advantage of the fact pretty much everyone is spending more time at home (and ideally, at the bench) than usual. Maybe this is just about giving folks some motivation to stay busy while they're cooped up. Anyone can join, just have to have started after, let's say, March 1st.

Don, good suggestion, but I haven't found a dedicated Campaign thread for Kitmaker. Individual sites (Armorama, Aeroscale, etc.) have them, but there doesn't seem to be something for campaigns at the KMN level. Maybe I missed it.

ROM pretty much describes the situation in Finland: we don't have to stay indoors, but there are restrictions. So would join with a simple kit that's quick to build.

Mark,
If you look under the "Campaigns" tab and scroll down, you will note there are many "General Modeling" campaigns. They all start in one particular section such as Armorama but are open to all kits that fit in the campaign's theme.
I like your idea for a campaign and would be willing to join. I'll have to pick something simple and easy. I work in healthcare so I don't get much of a break.
Take care and stay safe,

Our local modeling shop had a flash (Corona) sale of moving boxes stuffed with primary old plastic models (missing decals or parts but also perfect plastic and Vac-form) and some reading material (vintage) inside just to come by in these weird times. And jou would not know what you would buy,.. I'm now have stuff enough for several campaigns so,.. hell yes i'm in
