n the morning radio show today they had a trivia question. "Jesus is the historical figure that has had the most books written about Him. Whose has had the 2nd most books written about?"

My daughter's first answer was Napoleon. I thought Hitler. The answer was Abraham Lincoln.

I'm not sure I buy that. Now this is one of those questions that is very hard to answer accurately unless you know what exactly they mean, "most books." It could mean most books that had Lincoln in the title, or most books that had Lincoln as a major subject, or even most that had him even mentioned.

Who do you think has had the most books written about them, other than Jesus?

You would almost think that Shakespeare would have to way up there, even ahead of Lincoln...
BTW, Who is Dave Beckham? Didn't he have an affair or somethin'

We're wondering who Beckham is as well. Some barely half-way decent footballer that married one of the Spice Girls ( remember - a pop band?), captained England (why?how?) and has now been ALLEGEDLY caught out for having extra-marital sex with at least two women since moving to Spain. Seems like every book, newspaper and TV report is about him, hence my original post.

He's the guy who is loosely in the movie "Bend it like Beckam" right? If it makes you feel any better there are plenty of U.S. sport's figures, I can't quite call them athletes, who are vastly over rated, and over hyped, here as well.

If I had to venture a guess I would have said Robert E Lee... It seems that every Civil War general that survived the war wrote an autobigoraphy except Lee.... Why I don't or anyone that I have talked to knows, but there are lots of them out there.
If he did write one though what a read that one would have been..

Hi, If I were to have ventured a guess I would have said Hiter too. I have heard that the American Civil War is supposed to have more books written about it than any other time period in history, and this I don't doubt. But then again, there are lots and lots of books out there that do involve Lincoln in one way or another that do revolve around this period of American's history.

To me Lincoln is without a doubt one of the smartest men to ever occupy the White House, both in the past and most probably in the future as well. Of course, considering the caliber of men who've generally occupied this position, this isn't saying much for Lincoln either.

Interesting, nonetheless.

Thanks for sharing. Take care, Sgirty

I would say Hitler as well. I would even guess Hitler has more books written on him than Jesus. Another guees would be some musician like Elvis or the Beatles or Ol' Blue Eyes. I'm surprised that Lincoln was up there.

Over and out from the "land of lincoln",
