There is the old fashioned non-smart, or dumb, bombs. You drop them and gravity does the rest, a hit&miss business.

Nowadays there is also the smart bombs, give them a target and drop them and they will guide themselves to the target, within limits of course since the only means of propulsion is gravity and gliding can only take you so far ...

informed me about the existence of retarded bombs ...
Would they be the opposite of smart bombs, wouldn't that make them dumb bombs?? Some kind of new dimension in addition to the old smart vs dumb?
Would it be possible to attach the retarding device to a smart bomb? Would that make it an Autistic Bomb?? Smart and retarded at the same time?
Just wondering, can't fit my brain around this conundrum ...
