Hi All,

A curious article about how European banana tarriffs almost hurt the model railroad world--and no doubt us!

Not just in modelling. The 'European Union' aka 'waste of money' is interferring in a lot of areas that should be our choice regarding our lives. On the original subject of bananas they are setting 'rules' as to how curved or straight they are, and the same with cucmbers and courgettes.
For all those in Europe - our taxes are paying these useless w*****s a salary that most normal working people can only dream about, and this is the kind of thing they spend their time on. Some of the politicians in the European Parliament are becoming millionaires without doing a d**n thing to earn it !

Rant over

Hands off our hobby!

"On the original subject of bananas they are setting 'rules' as to how curved or straight they are..."
I think that is somewhat of an urban legend.

With some of these prices on these kits, I thought it failed. They get over 20 dollars for a few cents worth of plastic, and some up to a hundred dollars.

Talk about close-calls! To quote my dad, an avid train and train model enthusiast:

It's good somebody was paying attention!

Thanks for your time.

P.S. This got me thinking, though.......(Possible item coming up in the Junk Drawer)
