Hi guys. Need your help.

I used some of this stuff and I don't know if its because I left it for a few weeks but now it won't come off. Its turned into a sort of gum and instead of peeling off in one nice piece it sticks and I'm having to pick it off in one tiny lump at a time. But I can't get it off completely, like in the little nooks and crannies.

At this stage I'd be willing to repaint the areas I used it if there was some kind of solvent that would remove it but not destroy the plastic underneath. I've tried acetone but that didn't work and that's the strongest stuff I've got.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks very much.

Wild guess from by me:
Put the model in the freezer and remove the gummy stuff when it is frozen.

Since you have tried acetone already it would be a fair guess that alcohols or organic solvents will not affect it. There is hotter stuff than acetone but those will eat into the plastic so they can't be used.

Have you tried soap?

Have you tried oils, olive oil or some other cooking oil?

Oven cleaner?

Window cleaners containing ammonia?

I've heard that one good way to get rid of it is to apply a new layer of it on top and peel it out that way.

You could try blue tack to get it out from small places.
