Well all I am not really that new here but I have never posted anything in here, so here goes. I am in the USAF and currently stationed in Okinawa ( Great for Deals on Tamiya). I have been Stationed In Georgia and Florida also. My travels have pretty much covered the globe, but occasionally I get to go somewhere new. I really like building Armor even though I am a flyboy. I guess it might be because I work on the C-130 and have pretty extensive knowledge of her, so building a scale one is hard. Too picky I guess. lately I have had a problem finishing what I start, I have about 30 models in various stages of completion, maybe I am afraid I will mess them up, who knows.

Well first Welcome aboard.
Great to have new Dudes from the service on here.
Their are a lot of service folks or prior service people here plus the youngsters.

Well I guess after working on the C-130 it must be fun to see it over Iraq in it's AC-130 mode.

Well don't feel along in not finishing anything I myself have 7 or 8 maybe more in various states of disarray.
You will get them as time allows Keep the faith.

Take care, Harv.

Hello! Nice to formally meet you! Don't sweat the large number of partial builds. I probably have darn near as many partly finished kits as I do finished.
It's always good to have a member with experience around the real things we like to replicate in plastic. Even better in this case, since I have a brother in the USAF right now and my Dad put in 27 years in AF blue as well.
See you around the site!

Howdy Herchealer,

Even tho it's a wee bit belated, it is a no less warmer Welcome I proffer you! You are indeed a positive addition to the ranks.

Now mister, I have a question. You say you're in generally close proximity to C-130's...right? Yet, you don't have any 'walkaround' pics in your gallery for those of us who would want to build the big fat beastie!
What's up with that???

Actually, I recently (about 2 months ago) picked up the rather large (are you listening HalfYank ) Italeri 1:48th scale C-130 kit at a little LHS about an hours north of where I live.
I plan to build her up one of these days, but want to do it right. And, since the scale is large enough for these old eyes (still listening Rodger), a significant amount of superdetailing could be performed......that is, if I had some really great reference photos taken by a certain someone who was on "close proximity" to one of these fine birds.
(hint...hint)

Tread.
