Looks like too much fun, I want one. I suppose it wouldn't get much use down here though

You don't need ice, an empty parking lot or dirt lot would work just as well.

Ice is a lot smoother than any dirt lot or parking lot and probably less congested with obstacles such as police officers and/or private property security (Rent-A-Cop)

yeah but there is less chance of hitting thin ice and becoming acquainted with the local fish. There are a couple places around here that when the tide goes out you got a lot of sandy beach to ride on. As a kid we used to ride ATV's out there but nothing as fast as these psychotic go carts.

When it has been minus 20 Centigrade for a month or so the ice is safe. The tidal beaches would be an option but you would need wider wheels to float over softer spots

We used to ride Honda Odysseys and dirtbikes out there with no problems and those were a lot heavier than those carts seem to be. The real danger was hitting a beached boat. I used to have a picture of one of my friends standing next to a nice Bayliner with his motorcycle jammed up to the handlebars through the hull.

The diameter of the wheel is also important, it is not a problem if the wheel of a dirt bike sinks in 3-4 inches but those small cart wheels would be in sand up to the axle ...

What did the owner of the Bayliner say about it?

It's been 40 years but the owner wasn't happy but what do you think would happen when you leave your boats laying around? My friend broke his wrist and thumb and spent the summer in a cast. His dad took the motorcycle away for a while too.
