As always, you're one heck of a modeler! Did you apply a gloss coat? Feeling ko yung shine na lang kulang.

thanks shonen! yep, it has clear coat na, if you look at the first two pics, you can clearly see the reflection of the box sa hood and roof, i placed the box there as reference for the shine its quite hard to show the shine kasi pag walang nirereflect lalo na yung paint pa ng car which is light gun metal, nagbabounce yung lighting ko sa specs of glitters sa paint anyway, thanks for the comment

Neat-o, Cris. Kinda wish I'd have that color on my car too. I wonder what it looks like in a different color?

This kit.... Fujimi? What did you use for the clear coat?

Nope. It's the Tamiya V-Spec II R34, if I'm not mistaken. Sa upuan pa lang alam mo na hindi na Fujimi.

I like the shine cris, there's nothing wrong with it not showing too much kasi IMHO, gun-metal yung colour mo, so it's really normal na hindi siya "bastusing-kintab". I like how you did the clear-coat kasi hindi masyado nawala yung panel-lines (natabunan). Besides, I think other than clear-coat and a really perfectly landed "paint-job", wala nang ikakikintab yang car mo. Kahit na i-rubbing mo, hindi pa ren pwede, masisira lang yung pagka-gun-metal niyan.

Tamiya? I could have sworn it wasa Fujimi or any other Japanese brand.

Is this the same car featured in 2 Fast 2 Furious? Sarap yatang i-model ang mga kotse ng pelikulang iyan.

Well, the mag-wheels were a dead give-away (although alam ko na may ganyan si cris). It's rare "thing" for Fujimi to release mag-wheels which are significantly larger than stock mag-wheels (which range from 15").

Plus the mouldings on the bumper, is pretty much trademark Tamiya since Fujimi also, rarely provides decent "mouldings", meaning yung mga butas, etc. The intercooler, which is usually moulded onto the interior "tub"/"hull" of a Fujimi kit, was pretty much Tamiya.

So that means even in car categories, Tamiya topped it all?

Hmmm, IMHO, it's more of a quality-versus-selection when it comes to Tamiya vs. Fujimi in the car department. Like in all model kits ata, may kits ang Tamiya na may mas lamang sa Fujimi, and vice-versa. Although medyo expected mo sa Fujimi kits ay ang pagiging "curb-side" nila (no engine details, minimal interior-features; meaning the seats aren't top-notch). Fujimi kasi pag dating sa car kits focus more on their "import-car-selection", import meaning mga JDM (Japanese Domestic Motorvehicle) cars like the Civic's, Integra's, Trueno's, etc. which Tamiya doesn't really release.

The thing is, speaking from experience. Fujimi kits are worth buying because of the extra parts you get when you get a kit. More often than not, meron mga spare parts (spare dashboards, mag-wheels, seats, etc.) ang Fujimi kits which leave the modeller to do whatever he wants with the kit. Para bang nagpapaporma ka nang oto talaga. Tamiya naman sticks to the basic OOB parts, in some cases meron ren silang "optional-parts", rarely pa ako nakakita niyan. If you notice, and I think I have, Tamiya releases "event-specific" (F1, Rally, GT, JGTCC) cars, so medyo OOB talaga ang dating nang kits nila in a sense na stick to what's really in the real-life car.

My .02. Hope this helps.

Re-box-ing also happens ren ata sa mga car-kits eh.

Salpakan natin yan nang stencil na Nismo sa intercooler niya! O di kaya lagyan na natin nang intake-hose from the intercooler to the hood perhaps! Haha! Gusto mo nung mga mufflers ko! Bigyan kita when I attend one of the meets.

about kit preference, i will always choose tamiya and revell for car kits, ok ang revel kasi lahat ata ng car kits nila may kasamang engine details tamiya naman is top notch when it comes to quality! fujimi, i dont know, im not that impressed with it though havnt tried it yet

Hehe, maangas yang kit na yan. I've seen it in Lil's Megamall eh. IIRC, it's the R34 na road-car .

Ayus yang transplant project mo cris, dito lang ako kung kelangan mo research ulit. Hehehe!

I still get a "select" lot of Fujimi kits since the variety of their import-car line just fascinates me. But I've gotta give it to Tamiya with regards to the quality. Quality wise, Fujimi isn't really fascinating. It's always the "selection" when it comes to Fujimi, eh.

I think most of Revell's kits come with engine details, if not all, right? Though medyo "chunky" sila mag mold nang plastic eh.

Wow! Your fiance (since you'fre engaged) bought you a model kit. That oughtta mean something. Not only does she love you but it shows that she appreciates your hobby even though she may not be in to it.

BTW, do you (or anybody) know where I can find a Dodge Charger ('69) model kit? I've always enjoyed watching that TV show The Dukes of Hazzard. I wanna adorn it with the markings of the "General Lee."

Don't quote the quote, please.

You might want to try Revell's line of cars as they specialize in American muscle/vintage cars. AMT ERTL also primarily carry american cars, although the quality on the styrene plastic they use are a bit "bad".

ganda yung quality ng testarosa, hinged din lahat ng pwedeng buksan tsaka detailed din yung engine. i think its fujimi din, dun din kasi namin binili yung toyota gt e, inuna lang namin yung toyota kasi isa nalang, yung ferrari marami pa, mga 5 kits pa yata yun. pero we shall return!
