It is my limited understanding that a number of B-24D/J where converted to C-87/C-109 planes. It appears some 24D assembly ships had the top turret removed. I don’t think the kit has a plug like the B-29 kit did.

I'm revising this to ANY 1/48 dorsal turret: B17, B-24, B-25. Built, unbuilt, boogered up with cement on the glass, doesn't matter. (I can vacuform my own)
