Building a late WWII M24 for NW Europe, 1945. My father in law was in 4th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Squadron, F troop. Wondering what were the markings for these vehiclís? Any ideas as to how to find registration numbers for specific vehiclís? Did they have troop desgnations or squadron or regiment?

Any links to appropriate references would be most appreciated. From what I see on scalemates and the kits referenced, they don't represent this particular unit, but if they were not distinguiste, then perhaps the question is mute.
