For some of us armor modelers, it's bittersweet to see the summer end, but of course with Fall here (though the weather doesn't feel like it) and Winter just around the corner, many of us will be spending more time inside at our model benches watching baseball playoffs, football, hockey and oh yes, working away on our next armor project. Even though the AMPS 2020 International Show is months away, there are many working behind the scenes to prepare for what's going to be a great show in Camp Hill, PA, May 7-9, 2020. For those traveling by air to the show, Camp Hill is about 3 miles from Harrisburg, which has a nice airport. The show team is staying active in keeping show plans moving and working to make this the best AMPS International show ever!
In case you hadn't been to the AMPS homepage (amps-armor.org) or were on the AMPS Facebook page in a while, the AMPS 2020 show theme is "Last Battles."
For the AMPS 2020 show theme Last Battles, we are defining this as any model, diorama, vignette, or figure representing a vehicle, scene, or combatant from the last year of any major conflict involving armor. Notice the words "major conflict" and "involving armor." Visit the AMPS homepage at amps-armor.org, then click the link above the countdown to convention clock in the upper left within the AMPS 2020 International Convention section and read the full description posted by AMPS Chief Judge Dave Vickers.
