This show is rapidly approaching (I can remember when I was thinking "wow...that is 2 years away!"). If all goes as planned I want to have a SIG table (or 2) at this event. However I will need all the help I can get. I would like to do several things for this show...

1. Photography at the table via a tripod and hopefully some special lighting. This will allow us to really show off some of the works a bit better than my unsteady hands can do at the regular tables.

2. Show off some of our members kits and dioramas.

3. Have info and materials printed to show what goes on at Armorama.com

4. Do some kind of vendor support T-shirt drive. I don't have the full plan for this yet. But I was hoping to offer free T-shirts at the show for members who register in advance. The T-shirt would have a cool design and vendor logos for their contribution.

5. Meet lots of modelers and get the word out for our site!

To do all this I will need any and all help you guys can provide. Primarily I need help manning the table. I wouldn't want anyone (including me) stuck there for any period of time. If enough people are going and volunteer perhaps we can do it in 2-3 hr shifts.

And for our designers. Maybe a T-shirt design contest would be in order?

Here is the link to the IPMS show:

Jim

Jim,
I am planning on attending and would gladly man the table for a shift or 2.
Also, put me down for one of those T-Shirts.

To all the members in the Phoeniix area : GO TO THE SHOW AND SUPPORT ARMORAMA
We did this last year on the KMK meeting and it was great. Lots of response, lots of new members and most important: we all had a great time.
Success with the show.

Howdy Jim,

My wife and I plan to visit her parent's there in Phoenix (actually Mesa to be precise) at about the same time. Let me confirm the dates, and if it coincides, I would definitely be up to giving you a hand with the booth! Spending too much time watching the parakeet's fly in and around the local cactii by my Mother-in law's house would tempt my non-suicide resolve a little too much.
So, let me check.

Tread.

Philip and Gordon,
Thanks for the offer to help. At this point I am not sure if I would be there all 4(!) days. I will check the event schedule and see what's up. But most likely at least for 3 days (5th, 6th, and 7th).

Anyone else?? This is the biggest show in town so I was hoping more of our members were going.

Thanks again,
Jim

Jim - at this point I'm still planning on making the trip there myself. I don't know if I can make all four days either, and I'm juggling some projects around to see if I can free up the time.

Matt,
Lol...don't get clobbered on our accounts.

Anyone else. I know it's still a bit early but I really need to feel like I won't get tied to a table for 3 days. I would only need people to watch it for a few hours at most. Certainly I am not looking to chain anyone down at the show either.

Thanks,
Jim

I expect to be there for the full event. Have family in Mesa that I'll be visiting for the few days of the week before the show starts, but I expect to want to be clear of them by Wednesday or so :-).

Looking forward to meeting you guys.

Jim,
Have you envisioned any kind of schedule yet? I will be there the whole time but will be doing the Pima/DM tour and probably the CAF tour. Will be doing OJT for Judging (hope I don't get 1/48 small prop), attending the Webmaster seminar and volunteered to help out during the contest (don't know where, don't know when but get another free T-shirt)..

Much has changed since I wrote this. I am not even sure I will be attending now.

Definately no Armorama table. Maybe next year.
