Has anyone used this. Basically it looks really good but I cannot get it to stick resin or PE with any sort of reliability. Has anyone got any suggestions aside from etching/scratching/sand papering the surfaces.

Seems to be a PVA type glue.

It is NOT intended for RESIN.

For resin use CA

OK, but it doesn't seem to stick anything. PE Just falls off.

From my understanding, this type of glue works best on a porous surface ie: a painted surface and
allows time for positioning but will hold once dry.

As per manufacturer description, it will hold PE and will bond paper, cardboard and diorama material.

Your best bet for rapid bonding of PE to unpainted plastic is still a medium dry time CA...this allow time
to position the part before the glue totally sets.

Just my suggestion and hope it helps.

Have you cleaned your resin? Most resin is coated with mold release agent which needs to be cleaned. This will often prevent even CA from bonding. I use a few drops of dish soap in a cup of water. For really tough mold release problems, I use Wesleys bleach-white, making sure the resin is thouroughly rinsed afterwards. Short of this, scribing with a rough sanding stick on smooth joints will also give the glue something to "bite". But I've never heard of this new MIG glue-- are you sure it's compatible with resin? There are photo etch glues out there "Gator Glue" is one, but these PVA based glues are not necessarily great for joining PE to Resin, for that, Epoxy or CA glues are always the best.

Cleaning is obligatory with any adhesive to ensure success.

PVA; smell that hint of vinegar? That's Ethanoic/Acetic Acid; warm weather brings it out, and I would not trust it on any metal. On Lead alloys it's lethal, and railway modellers in Australia have reported corroded trackwork.

Stick with (but not to) CA - and always have a bottle of Acetone to hand to break accidental bonds with skin or metal (it also works on Epoxy joints metal to metal, so obviously don't use it on resin castings!).
