Hi everyone

I'll be posting some WIP in the relevant forum shortly for some feedback once I've got sorted with an Imgur account to upload photos but thought I'd start with a post here.

I can't remember when I started building kits but it must be about 27 years ago with Tamiyas's old Matilda. The last 10-15 years have been quiet on the kit-building front with odd bursts of activity but nothing sustained. I've decided to change that though in order to get me out of the habit of watching TV just for sake of it. Far better to do something constructive.

My area of modelling interest is German WW2 armour, softskins and figures, with a particular interest in the Western Front from D-Day onwards.

I suppose I am a bit of a lazy modeller, happy to build kits out of the box (with just the addition of zimmerit and stowage when relevant) as a representation of a vehicle rather than adding a plethora of aftermarket kits to create an intricately detailed replica of the vehicle. I admire the guys who routinely do the latter massively but I know the limits of my skills at present.

I tend to present my creations in diorama settings as I enjoy telling a story, although compared to some of the dioramas I've seen on here, they are very simplistic stories I tell.

Anyway, hopefully by being on here, I will start to push my creative and modelling skills a little further than I have so far, although my first few creations will be getting back into the saddle so to speak.

Thanks and look forward to interacting with you guys.

Graeme

Thanks guys. Looking back at the books I used for modelling reference as a teenager compared to modern methods it seems I've missed out on a lot in the last 15 years or so! So don't expect too much from my first few efforts

A LOT has happened in the industry the last 15 years so you have a lot to discover. Get a good grip on your wallet though, there is so many tempting things out there trying to ambush your wallet.

Welcome aboard!
