Somebody has been in my closet.

True story. I left Berlin Germany after a 2 year tour in January 89. I was waiting to board the plane to Munich when I was approached by two MP's and 2 Polizei who said to me "are you Spec4 Patrick Bowers? I said yes and before I could finish with I am I was slammed into the wall and partially stripped searched right there in the boarding lounge at Tempelhof. I was handcuffed had my coat, my shirt unbuttoned and pulled down my arm as far as the handcuffs would allow. They pulled my t-shirt up over my head to keep me from seeing, they then unbuckled my belt and jeans and completed searching me. Because of what we did we never traveled in uniform while all other military had to wear their A's. I calmly ask what the [auto-censored] was going on and the MP Sgt told when they x-rayed my suitcase they found something and I needed to unlock my suitcase for them. A light went off and I said 'oh that', the paperwork for that was in the left inside breast pocket of my jacket. So I'm dragged down a level to where the luggage was loaded onto the plane and my suitcase and duffle bag were on a table. They showed me xray an you could see plain as day two automatic pistols in my suitcase. That was what was causing all the excitement. So the took my keys, unlocked my suitcase, pulled out my pistol case and unlocked that. Then the oohing and aahing began. Inside was a Barretta 92f and a CZ-85, both 9mm, both legal bought at the Berlin Rod And Gun Club right after Barretta was chosen to replace the 1911 45cal. The MP's started playing with them saying they were getting their 92f's in February and they were envious of mine. While this was going on my plane was being pushed back from the gate and they were waiting for my luggage to close the hold. So the MP's put everything back in my suitcase after making sure I had the importation documents from the ATF, the suitcase was locked, customs sealed my luggage and cleared me all the way to Dallas/Ft Worth, my port of entry. The luggage handlers loaded them and sealed the hold as they bought a stair truck up so I could board the plane. We entered First class, I was still handcuffed and my clothes still all askew.
The passengers did not look happy to see me. See this was a PanAm flight and PanAm Flight 103 had been blown up 3 weeks earlier. So here is a guy in handcuffs, half naked from a search, escorted by 4 armed cops. The other thing was I had just completed 2 months of cancer treatment and surgery on my face and jaw so the left side of my face was swollen and distended and heavily scarred. I had lost almost 50 pound so I was gaunt, bags under my eyes and I had a feverish, crazy look. They removed the hand cuffs, helped me straighten my clothes gave the stewardess my boarding pass, they all shook my hand said goodbye and left the plane. The stewardess escorted me to my seat which was the first row behind first class and I had the window seat. The plane started taxiing heading to the runway and by the time we were ready to take off everyone in my row requested new seats, nobody wanted to sit next to the terrorist. So I had a row to my self to Munich and when I switched to the 747 to Dallas I had a whole row again because some of people from the Berlin flight were on the 747 and rumor got around that I was a terrorist and nobody wanted to sit near me. Which was cool, I was still weak and sick so it was nice to be able to lay down for a 10 hour flight.

Got to love Mike the Cop. He puts out some funny videos. I like Officer401 & Donut Operator as well.

Very cool !
I grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, 40+ miles of forests between towns, in the late 60's. It was nothing to see rifle racks filled with shot guns during duck/small game season, rifles during deer season, in the high school parking lot. School let out at 3:30 and we would be hunting by 4PM. Nobody cared back then but then the sick, sad craziness that's going on has taken over our world. Those simple days are long gone now. I miss parts of that era

I'm guessing that's a Barrett .50 cal in the hard case? The audio wasn't very clear...
