well...the end of AMPS on-line pre-registration is here, but not the show! There is less than 1 week before show time. Get those entries completed and packed for the show and be prepared to enjoy the largest gathering of AFV modelers in North America in 2019.

Though AMPS pre-registration is now closed, we have plenty of judging shifts to fill and we need all the help we can get. Two judging shifts gets you a nifty AMPS 2019 Show Crew tee-shirt, complete with this year's logo that will be the envy of your friends and spouse or significant other. Okay..maybe not your spouse or significant other, but an added bonus is that this shirt is clean too! Visit the link on the AMPS homepage (amps-armor.org) to sign up. If you haven't judged before, don't let that stop you. We offer judges training classes at the show and will get you up to speed and ready to roll. After participating in judges' training and doing a shift or two of judging, you will be a much improved modeler if not a more observant modeler.

We offer diorama/vignette and figure judging classes as well. Visit the AMPS homepage at amps-armor.org and sign up for a shift or more and see when the various training classes are being held. This is the time to answer the call for your society and fellow AFV modelers and step from the sidelines onto the field. You'll be glad you did.

And on the topic of stepping up, bring your kit, aftermarket, reference book and figure donations to AMPS for the international show raffle which has always been quite amazing. While not the 8th wonder of the world, with more donations, it could be!

As you are preparing for the show, remember:

• use the AMPS judging criteria to look your entries over one more time

• pack your entries with care, knowing they will be in travel mode for some time

• don't forget your model entry forms

• drive safe

Cheers!
