Greetings AFV modelers,

With the AMPS 2019 International Show less than a month away, you can start get those feeling of euphoria knowing the biggest AFV modeling show in North America under one roof will soon be here, complete with plenty of fantastic models on display, well-stocked vendors and great seminars to attend. As show planners continue to complete tasks on their "to do" list in preparation for the show, here are a few for the rest of us as show time draws near:

Show Volunteers : As everyone knows, it takes a lot of time and effort to put on big events. The AMPS 2019 Show is no exception. We need volunteers to help with show set up and tear down. Also, on-location registration, runners and light administration help is needed. No heavy lifting is required and we're not talking a whole day; just an hour or two to help out to make the show run smooth and enjoyable for all attenders. Visit the AMPS homepage (amps-armor.org) and select the link to sign up for a task or two. The link is under the AMPS 2019 International Convention announcement.

ACJs and Judges Signup: If you are a certified ACJ with AMPS, we need you to volunteer for a shift or two to help keep the judging shifts moving. And speaking of keeping things moving, we need judges to help throughout the weekend. Sign up for two shifts and get a free AMPS Crew T-shirt complete with this year's very cool logo. Can't do two shifts? Well, then consider one, but you will find it is very eye-opening and quite addicting. You can sign up on line for an ACJ shift if you are AMPS ACJ certified or a field judge slot.

AMPS On-line Pre-registration: Pre-registration closes April 30th. Go to the AMPS homepage (amps-armor.org) and pre-register all your entries for the show so you don't have to do the paperwork when you get there.

Raffle Donations: Category sponsorships have all been filled thanks to many AMPS members and friends of AMPS. Now we would still like to get more raffle donations to make the AMPS raffle better than last year's offering. We are looking for newer kits, aftermarket sets, reference books, figures or figure sets you may be willing to donate to the AMPS International Show raffle. If you've got stuff already to donate to the AMPS raffle, contact the King of Raffle himself, Frank Ciccarella at [email protected] and let him know what you are bringing then simply drop off your donation with Frank when you get to the show.

Don't forget to review the AMPS judging criteria before you pack your project for the trip to Buffalo.

Until the next AMPS 2019 Show Announcement...model on!
