Let the other sites put this in their pipes and smoke it!. This is why I am a member of the great Armorama. I can say that I have friends from all over the world and they all speak the same language of brother and sisterhood and the international language of modeling...

Agreed with all above. Not only i have found the absolutely best source on modelling and military information, i have made some good friends on line and one Brother (hoowwwwlllll)
i was motivated to build better and more models but the basic for me is that after many years i felt again the pleasure to be in a community so warm and helpfull with many people of high quality (both modelling and human) people that are not afraid to speak their opinion whatever is this and can keep a good level in conversation.
Long Live Armorama !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems like even the 'old hands' that one assumes know all there is to know about modelling need help with something occassionally. I can't help wondering why such so-called luminaries as Miguel Jiminez etc. don't frequent this site. Or maybe they do under an assumed name?

Cheers Tazz, i know EXACTLY what you mean, i have met so many great people here, and made so many new friends, that i honestly believe, i wouldntve found em any other way.
And im sure id still be making dodgy planes with glue all over the windows if i hadnt found this site!
And the funny thing was, i stumbled across this site oneday while searching for "models" on the ent, and thought, hey, why not sign up, and that was when we had like, a few hundred people, look at us now, well i will stop rambling on Cheers mate! cheers to all of ya!

This is a great site!
I wouldn't be able to do even half of the things I am currently trying with my models if it weren't for the wealth of information this site has to offer, as well as the fact that EVERYONE is willing to share any knowledge that they have that could help.
Hats off and a big cheer to Armorama!

Tazz,
It is all about the inspiration and the motivation. I am always inspired by the excellent work that I see posted here and joining a campaign or three motivates me to actually finish something. The thing that impresses me the most is the fact that there are no “stupid” questions here. Everyone realizes that there are modelers here of many different skill levels and everyone is always happy to help. Thanks for starting this thread so I could take this opportunity to thank everyone for answering the questions I thought were stupid almost 2200 posts ago…
Thanks to everyone who answered my questions and I hope I have actually answered a few in those two thousand posts…

The campaigns really keep my mind focused. I have built more kits and figures in the last 4 months since I've joined than the 20 years prior. I have even looked up a local model club and joined their group for further inspiration.

I agree, there is a great group of people here. I learn something new literally every day. My favorite spot on the web, bar none!
