Hi all,
I am asking for help in finding infos on the bombing raid over Milan and northen Italy carried out by the RAF on the night of August 27-28, 1940.

Here are the info I gethered from Italian sources:
on that night 11 Armstrong Whitworth departed from Dishforth, entered Italy through Switzerland (possibly Domodossola) headed to Milan and Turin. One was shot down by flack and creshed in Arese (the town I live in).
The 5 crew member lost their lives on the impact and are now buried in Milan war cemetery they were:
PARVIN, JOHN HUGH KEITH
HOWARD, HAROLD HERBERT GEORGE
JOHNSTON, NORMAN REID
STEPHENSON, JOSEPH WILLIAM
CARTER, HUGHIE WILLIAM

I am interested on the flight plan of that raid and any historical background.

Do you have any source?

Thank you
ciao
